Does the Constitution obey the Word of God?
Submitted by Dave on Wed, 2009-01-07 12:50. Bible | Doctrine | LawAs I was writing another post, I stumbled upon the question of whether the Constitution is entirely obedient to the Word of God. I found that I did not have a clear answer. I still don't, even as I post this, though I intend to look into the matter.
Does anyone else have an opinion on this? (I mean, besides Wayne, from whom I am certain we will hear very soon.

Romans 13
Submitted by Wayne on Wed, 2009-01-07 11:30. Doctrine | Patriots | PoliticsI found a website that teaches about Romans 13, correcting the popular misinterpretation that it teaches slavery (or mindless submission) to civil government. The buzz among many online personae these days definitely has been leaning toward mindless submission (foretaste of the Delusion to come?), even to an illegal and wayward government. In light of this, I've added the site to the Links section on the right for easy reference. » read more »
Here's the 'consensus' that will save the nation
Submitted by Wayne on Tue, 2009-01-06 13:25. Doctrine | PoliticsReal Angels
Submitted by Wayne on Fri, 2008-12-26 10:36. Doctrine | StupiditySome people see miracles everywhere, and it waters down the truth. Here, many people are claiming they see an angel in the hallway of a hospital. The reflections of the supposed angel on the waxed floor obviously indicate merely reflected light. WND's poll has "angel" at the top of the list (38%) with "reflected light" a very distant second (12%). » read more »
Jubilee
Submitted by Wayne on Mon, 2008-12-22 09:42. Doctrine | Economics | LawThe Bible prescribes a Year of Jubilee every fifty years. What's involved with this tradition? At first glance, it's an obvious "reset" economically speaking. Debts are canceled. Land is returned. Since the law of Jubilee was given at a time when Israel's government was minimal--judges only--it's difficult to know whether or not this "reset" applied to government, too. Thomas Jefferson recommended armed revolution every 20 years to roll back government corruption. Might the year of Jubilee be a means of doing just this? Was this part of its intent?
Bush's Faith
Submitted by Wayne on Wed, 2008-12-10 08:14. Doctrine | PoliticsBush talked about his faith. Being such a public figure and so inept in his infantile and perverted faith, Bush probably caused just as much damage as Bryan did in Scopes. I expect his example will accelerate our national descent into apostasy. » read more »
Sword Names
Submitted by Wayne on Mon, 2008-12-01 09:45. Arms | Bible | Doctrine | Holiness | Home Life | Justice | WarI'm interested in soliciting ideas for a name for my katana. My favorite front-runner presently is Aletheia ("truth"). Do you have any suggestions you'd like to propose?
Antichrists
Submitted by Wayne on Wed, 2008-11-12 09:47. Doctrine | PoliticsSome supposed Christians have been debating (online) the Antichrist, specifically whether or not President-elect Osama would qualify. Besides those who worship Obama Bin Laden, there are those who have no clue about the Antichrist or antichrists. The Bible is quite clear on the matter. » read more »
Pray for our leaders

Proselytizing
Submitted by Wayne on Mon, 2008-11-10 13:47. Doctrine | HolinessWhy proselytize? There are many answers but one in particular stands out, in my experience, as the most popular reason for converting someone's thinking to our own, especially in religion. We may try to win converts because God says so; or because we truly believe another is damned, and we love them so much, we don't want to see this happen; or because we just need a fourth for golf. Overwhelmingly, though, people seem to proselytize simply because they want affirmation of their own beliefs. » read more »
