Site improvement
Due to countless bugs in the Subscriptions module (namely, many notices were not being sent), it has been indefinitely disabled. As it would be a pain without some kind of email notification, the Notify module has been reinstated. Those of you who were previously enrolled for notification are again so configured. My apologies for this confusion.
The way Notify works is an email is sent (no more than hourly) announcing new content for TuscanyCircle. You may configure it to include only the title of the new post, a teaser, or the whole post. You may also choose to receive notice of new comments or not.
As this is not an ideal solution, I'll be on the lookout for a better one. I'll let you know if I ever find one.

It looks like Notify may be working properly now. I also enhanced it to include the comment text in the email, so you needn't look it up on the web--if you configured your notify settings to include comments at all.
more bugs
Looks like the Notify module has a minor bug or two, also. I'm working on them.
